# List randomizer

Paste a list of names or ideas, one per line. Shuffle it, draw winners without repeats, or split it into even groups.

## Shuffle, draw or split

Type or paste one entry per line, or tick **Split on commas too** for a comma-separated list. Blank lines are skipped and extra spaces trimmed. **Remove duplicates** drops repeated entries, ignoring capital letters, so someone who entered twice only counts once. Then choose what to do:

- **Shuffle** puts the whole list in a random order: turn order, speaking slots or a chore rota.
- **Pick winners** draws as many winners as you ask for, never the same entry twice, plus reserves in order in case a winner does not reply.
- **Make groups** shuffles everyone and deals them out like cards, so group sizes differ by one at most: 10 names in groups of 4 gives 4, 3 and 3.

Each result shows the time it was drawn, which helps when you share a giveaway draw. Shuffles use the Fisher–Yates method with crypto.getRandomValues, so every order and every set of winners is equally likely. Your list is never saved or sent anywhere.

**After a giveaway draw:** public giveaways tend to attract copycat "claim your prize" messages from fake accounts. ## Questions

**How do I pick a giveaway winner from comments?**

Paste the commenters' names, one per line, keep Remove duplicates ticked if each person gets one entry, choose Pick winners and press the button. A screenshot of the result with its time makes the draw easy to share.

**Can the same person win twice?**

Not in one draw: winners and reserves are always different lines. To give someone extra chances, untick Remove duplicates and list their name once per entry.

**How long can the list be?**

Up to 10,000 entries, which is far more than fits on screen at once; copy or download the result to keep it all.
